3D Printing Commissions
HomeCommissions
Printing commissions are a way for the students of the Woodlands Secondary School to access
the 3D printing technology without having to be involved in the printing process directly.
This benefits the school community, including other clubs, enabling them to experience the
benefits of 3D printing.
Pricing
The Woodlands Tech Club is a nonprofit club that is run by volunteer students and teachers.
We do not rely on commissions as the main source of fundraising. Instead, the pricing system
was developed to be as cheap as possible for students (in fact, it is up to 8x cheaper than
the 3D printing services of the Mississauga Public Library). We try our best to maintain the
printing price “at cost”
Fee | Price | Description |
---|---|---|
Base fee | $0.50 | A default minimum for every print |
Electricity fee | $0.05/hour | Charged based on the printing time |
Material cost | $0.013-0.03/gram | Covers the cost of plastic used for printing |
